About

Kymmiisha is a multi-genre songwriter and a soul singer turned food/lifestyle blogger. With food and vocal training, her experience spans from working in restaurant kitchens to penning song alongside music producers all the while able to hold her own on stage.

By the age of 21 she had experienced so many events in life from childhood and teenage years so much that she started writing blogs and articles whilst mentoring local youth through the church and youth organisations. Born with Wolff Parkinson White Syndrome, Chronic Anemia and breathing problems, it wasn't an easy start but despite all of that she started singing at the age of four, commanding her first audience at the age of five. She recalls accompanying her late grandmother at the age of four to visit AIDS patience in her birth country Zimbabwe. She chronicles one of her early visits as the birth of her compassionate heart as she recalls singing to a lady dying of AIDS and praying for her. As a 4 year old she learnt the effect of prayer on people, seeing a woman who hadn't spoken or eaten for days, smiling and sitting up. The lady went on to die months later but Kymmiisha believes that the immediate impact made by that compassionate contact will stay with her forever.

She also recalls other instances in her childhood where she prayed for the sick seeing recovery but her own health was always tested and tried. Throughout her childhood she suffered from the effects of WPW syndrome which was only detected when she was 20 after a faint during a band rehearsal. In July 2013, twelve days after her 21st birthday she underwent a catheter ablation to try and cure the WPW. She recalls having breathing difficulties and a seizure coming out of surgery whilst a team of doctors and nurses helped revive her. She went on to suffer nerve damage in the groin which is a rare complication for catheter ablations. She was unable to walk and endured pain for two months after the surgery. As soon as she could walk again secured a walk in casting for a fashion show as a plus size model, returned to modelling briefly and took her testimony to the youth speaking at youth engagements.

After an attempt to get back to normality she was struck by costochondritis due to inflammation in her chest wall and upper ribs resulting in more frequent hospitalization. With the her haemoglobin levels being constantly low and needing blood transfusion because of the anemia from birth, the WPW syndrome and the costochondritis it seems impossible for her to catch a break. However with that many obstacles Kymmiisha, managed to finish her music course with impressive grades, above average across her course and caught the attention of management firms, producers and booking agents.

She is currently writing songs for her publishing demo, writing articles for magazines and booking singing shows in the London and Herfordshire area alongside blogging.
